KickOff can reveal that Chippa United have been hit with a fresh registration ban by FIFA.
Chippa have made a habit of being hit with transfer bans in recent years, largely for owing foreign former players, coaches or staff members salary or transfer fee monies.
The Chilli Boys were threatened with a registration ban previously by former head coach Luc Eymael late last year and even up to early 2026, with FIFA very clear on ordering transfer bans on teams who do not fulfill their financial obligations.
This website can reveal that United have been slapped with a transfer ban, both nationally and internationally, after failing to settle monies owed to Burkinabe midfielder Roland Sanou.

KickOff.com is in possession of a letter from FIFA informing the parties involved that the Gqeberha-based outfit will not be able to register new players for three consecutive window periods, until they have settled their debt with Sanou.
The world football governing body also requested the South African Football Association (SAFA) to immediately implement the registration ban immediately at a national level, if they have not done so already.

Chippa could not register new players, either nationally and internationally for just over a year from November 2023, following a transfer dispute with Tanzanian defender Abdi Banda for unpaid compensation after he left the club still under contract, it was only after they had settled the monies owed, that their ban was lifted.
The Chilli Boys were also banned by FIFA from registering players in May 2022 after an unsettled debt owed to Nigerian striker Augustine Kwem.
