OpTic Gaming retain their Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 crown at the 2026 Esports World Cup

OpTic Gaming crowned back-to-back Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Esports World Cup champions in Paris while there was also action from the PUBG Mobile and Rainbow 6 Siege tournaments, along with Last Chance Qualifiers from the Counter-Strike 2 and Rocket League competitions.

OpTic Gaming were crowned the champion of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 tournament at the 2026 Esports World Cup, retaining their crown in this competition and collecting a prize pot of $600,000. They secured a 5-3 win over Team Heretics in the final of the tournament to ensure they retained the crown they won last time in Saudi Arabia, doing it this time in the French capital.

There was also group stage action from the PUBG Mobile and Rainbow 6 Siege tournaments, along with Last Chance Qualifiers from the Counter-Strike 2 and Rocket League competitions. The group stage of the PUBG Mobile tournament was completed, and now we have confirmed who will be competing in the survival series to try and keep their hopes of lifting the trophy alive.

Team Vitality finished top of the leaderboard in Group B, and now they will take place in the Match Point Finals along with the other teams that finished in the top five teams in the group. IDA Esports finished second, while Godlike Esports came in third, with Horaa Esports and S2G Esports placing in fourth and fifth in Group B to progress to the Match Point Finals.

They will be joined by 4Thrives Esports, Orangutan, Aurora Gaming, Team Flash, and Nigma Galaxy as they finished in the top five of Group A. However, before this stage can take place on Friday, there will be two days of the Survival round as 16 others battle to join them in the Match Point Finals.

Meanwhile, in the R6 Siege competition, we had the teams that will compete in the playoffs confirmed as the lower bracket of Groups A and B were completed. Team Secret and Team Liquid progressed from the lower bracket of Group A as they beat Team Falcons and CAG by VARREL, respectively. Then in Group B it was FURIA and Weibo Gaming that progressed as they secured victories over Fnatic and Virtus.Pro.
